About

We have been serving simple, classic and freshly prepared dishes in elegant surroundings since the first Browns opened in 1973.

There are drinks for every mood and occasion - an expertly compiled wine list, perfectly chilled continental beers, and legendary cocktails.

We think a sense of place is important. Our restaurants are places where you can relax, enjoy a drink, a fine meal and good conversation. Our staff truly know how to look after you, leaving you free to enjoy the food and the atmosphere.

The Browns building in Bristol is modelled on the Doge’s Palace in Venice and was once part of the outstanding Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.

It was restored to its former glory in 1992 and is now very much part of the landscape.

Bristol is a city of bridges, boats and beautiful churches with the stunning Georgian Queen Square at the centre and the world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge on the cliffs of the Avon Gorge.
